With the daily commuter inflows and outflows, a transient residential base, and the interdependence of economies in the metropolitan region, it is understandable that the lines between the District and its neighbors can be a little blurry at times. However, it is safe to say that Cleveland Park is still solidly located within the District. Friendship Heights? Now that’s another story altogether.

Quote of the Week

H4 bus, Cleveland Park:
Confused man on bus: “Hello? Hello? Does anyone know if this goes to Washington Hospital Center? Anyone? Hello?”
Woman: “You’re on the right bus. This takes you right to the hospital.”
Confused man: “But we’re in Virginia. I need to go to Washington Hospital Center.”
Woman: “We’re in Washington.”
Confused man: “We’re in Virginia.”
Woman: “Sir, we’re in Washington. Don’t worry.”
Confused man: “We’re in Virginia!”
Automated announcement: *bing* “Williamsburg Lane”
Confused man: (pointing to the illuminated sign) “SEE! We’re in VIRGINIA!”

After the jump, poor job choices, a field guide to the bathroom habits of the American male, and more fun on public transportation.
