This week in the Overheard offices, we were shocked and appalled. Are people being extra insensitive out there on the mean streets of D.C.? Aren’t we all fat and happy on Christmas cookies and eggnog, wading knee-deep in nostalgia after another viewing of A Charlie Brown Christmas? Whatever it is that is inspiring heightened grinch-itude in Washington flared hot as a roasting chestnut this week, as we had submissions potentially offensive to various races, sexual orientations, nationalities, and disability statuses. It’s enough to make us yearn for a TBS It’s a Wonderful Life marathon. We’ve now bounced back, regained our goodwill toward men (and women), and gone ahead and posted the quotes not pushing the needle into the red on the Borat-meter. Kicking things off this week (so to speak) is a very rare breed of entertainer.
Quote of the Week
Two attractive young women walking between New Hampshire and 22nd, near Camelot Gentleman’s Club:
“She doesn’t do it because she needs the money…she does it because she likes to strip.”
After the jump, discovering sexuality, Europe vs. Africa, and Italian popsicles.
Give the gift of laughter this holiday season. overheardindc (at) gmail (dot) com.
