>> The National are playing a sold-out show at 9:30 Club tonight, with Shapes and Sizes & Talkdemonic, doors at 7:15 p.m. If you don’t have tickets, you have three options: Get thee to craigslist, park yourself at DC9 before the show and keep an eye out for folks who got stood up, or sit in the sweet, sweet air conditioning at home and tune into NPR’s live streaming web cast of the headliners starting at 10 p.m.

>>The Washington Glory are off to a scintillating start to the NPF season. They’ve won 10 of their first 12 games, including a recent 4-game sweep of the Chinese National Team by a 15-2 combined score. They face a real test tonight when the Venezuelan National Team comes to town for a four game series. Game time’s 7:05 p.m. at the GMU Softball Complex.
