Yesterday, we featured some of the oddest candidate statements from the D.C. Voter Guide — but self-proclaimed “First Afro-Latino in History” Carlos Allen was nowhere to be found. Don’t worry though: the White House crasher-cum-mayoral candidate may have penned a mundane candidate statement, but he was just postponing the political awkwardness until today.

As part of an interview with NBCWashington.com’s P.J. Orvetti (in which Allen stated: “I’m confident I will win this election”), Allen boasted about his newest campaign ad. Over a score that sounds totally ripped off from Goblin, a female voice claims that Vince Gray “opposes” keeping black people in D.C., blames Gray for a 26 percent decrease in D.C.’s black population over the past twenty years and states that “GRAY=FENTY.”

On the plus side, at least this one is an actual ad, and not just a photo slideshow set to a song which lauds New York City.
