Last night, we mentioned that Metro Transit Police were asking the public to help indentify whoever shot a man at an Oxon Hill bus stop on Sunday. But that’s not the whole story.

Apparently, the wounded man — who was reportedly shot in the chest near the intersection of Glassmanor Drive and Irvington Street in Oxon Hill around 8:30 a.m. — spent two-and-a-half hours on a bus and a train between Clinton, Maryland and Washington without a single person noticing that he had been shot. The Examiner reports that it was only when the man arrived at church, did someone finally come to the realization that, oh hey, this guy might have been shot.

Metro Transit Police and the Prince George’s County police are still investigating the incident; the man, who has not been identified, is currently in stable but critical condition.
