The Bush-Cheney campaign’s national headquarters in Arlington, a location that is not broadcast to the general public, was raided by a number of AIDS/HIV activists, WTOP reports. Fourteen protesters found their way inside the headquarters, located in a non-descript office building at 2107 Wilson Blvd. in Arlington’s Court House area. Seven others chained themselves to the doors of the building. Twenty-one in all were arrested for trespassing.

As most everyone knows, the Kerry-Edwards headquarters sits a block from the White House at 901 15th St. NW near McPherson Square.

This surprise protest reminds DCist of when a busload of protesters from Chicago’s South Side ambushed Karl Rove by crowding the top Bush political adviser’s front lawn on Weaver Terrace, located in the normally sedate Palisades section of Northwest D.C.
