Arson, Arson Everywhere: In Charles County, Maryland the future residents of a housing development under construction that was attacked on Sunday in the “biggest residential arson in state history” are making plans to re-build. The attack damaged or destroyed 26 homes, and investigators have not named a potential motive although the development had angered environmentalists concerned about a local bog. NBC4 reports officials are looking for a “blue van.”
More Arson: Meanwhile, in Prince George’s County, two Marine Corps cars were set on fire yesterday, bringing the total number burned in the area recently to 10. Also in PG County, police think a fire yesterday at a Bladensburg apartment building is the latest attack by a serial arsonist. In DC, a “suspicious” fire damaged the IDEA Public Charter High School in Northeast yesterday.
