Good morning Washington. As you can probably imagine, just about any D.C.-area newspaper reader has been transfixed on Bob Woodward’s massive piece in today’s Post detailing how the Post’s iconic reporter became acquainted with W. Mark Felt who would become Deep Throat and together managed to topple the Nixon administration. There’s no need to summarize the whole thing here. Just go read it, just so you know what everyone is talking about at the water cooler.

But we will note something. DCist’s speculation as to where the mysterious underground parking garage was sort of right. As one of our guesses, we said that it could be “[a]ny building in Crystal City or Rosslyn from the Watergate era.” Bingo. It was in Rosslyn (at right). Now the commonwealth of Virginia has a new historic landmark!

We May Be Getting Ferry Service. The Post reports that the District Department of Transportation is exploring the possibility of adding Potomac ferry service between the Navy Yard and Georgetown.

Everyone Loves Nanotechnologies: … So much so that Virginia, D.C. and Maryland are joining forces to create a friendly environment for nanotechnology interests to flourish in the region, the AP, via WTOP reports.
