In case you didn’t hear, tonight’s the night. Unbuckled. Pela. These United States. DC9, 9 p.m. You’ll thank us later.

>> A few local leaders are agitating for new incentives for filmmakers to shoot their movies in the District. Sure, we’ve all been sitting in the theater and seen everywhere from Baltimore to Toronto masquerading as our city, but are folks willing to balance their desire for studio cash with the irrepressible urge to bitch when their block is subject to street closings so that crews can actually get the footage they need? >> What would cause a Virginia man to leap into frigid waters to save a stranger’s dog? We’re not sure, but everyone involved in the Wednesday morning random act of kindness calls the man a hero. The good Samaritan was taken to the hospital after saving a pup named Maximo who broke through the ice on Lake Braddock. Man, some guys will do anything to catch a girl’s eye on Valentine’s Day. >> Looks like a couple college papers are looking for a new way to set ink to paper after Comprint, the area’s largest commercial printers, ditched them. The company, conveniently owned by Post-Newsweek Media, has upgraded their facilities and will now only serve high-circulation clients. With Georgetown and George Washington universities are both now in the market for new printers, we’d like bet some D.C. schools still have a smelly, purple-inked ditto machine or two in their basements.
